Winter Workshop Series

In the spirit of making the shop more of a community gathering and education space, Pine State Flowers will now start hosting workshops! Local herbalist Lindsay Perry will kick off the series on Sunday, Oct 26, with a discussion and hands-on workshop about building immunity with plant-based medicines. Participants will be able to make their own syrups and tinctures.

The shop is closed through Saturday, October 11, and so much is getting done! The beds in the flower farm have all been amended, turned, and covered with burlap in preparation for a shipment of flower bulbs. The flowers grown on the farm will supplement flowers grown by local farmers: more perennials, unusual flowers, and flowers that wouldn't necessarily hold up well at a farmers market but will be great for events and weddings. Black and brown irises anyone?

Just planted a mini bed of the irises, experimenting for next year.

As a reminder, the shop is closed through this Saturday, and will reopen with new hours on Sunday, October 12. New winter hours are Tuesday–Sunday 8am–2pm. The shop will have coffee in the mornings, the Independent, the Sunday Times, plus more and more retail and plant gifts. Gift orders and deliveries will continue through the off season—stay tuned for winter offerings!
